Campsites in Burgundy

A beautiful journey through time, with huge valleys and majestic castles, Burgundy is a wonderful region. Don’t leave this fascinating territory without trying Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

In addition to the vast vineyards, Burgundy offers meandering rivers, caves and green landscapes, lots of green. The Regional Natural Park of Morvan, dubbed the ‘green lung of Burgundy’, is located in the heart of the region. The banks of the Seine and the Loire boast wonderful places to take a picnic, a long walk or a ride. The Loire is also the last wild river in Western Europe.

Burgundy, with an enviable heritage, will surprise you. In southern Burgundy you can take part in a lively tour of castles. Worth visiting are the fairy-tale castles of Taizé in Sully and the medieval fortress of La Rochepot. If you want to combine culture with some shopping then in Dijon, the capital of the region, you will find various galleries and pedestrian routes overlooked by shops and delicatessens. For wine lovers, it’s great to hire a bike and ride along the ‘Route des Grands Crus’, from Beaune to Santenay.
